People have different opinions about whether AI will make our lives simpler or create new, more complex problems. In my view, while there are valid arguments for both sides, I believe that AI will overall make our lives much easier.
Admittedly, AI is crucial in many modern societies because it can transform the way people live. This means that the more the advanced technology people use, the more convenient their lifestyle becomes. For instance, back in the early stages, people used to carry several phisical keys. Instead, they use AI-powered fingerprint locks to protect private spaces. As a result, people no longer carry heavy keys and let them take up space in their bags. In this case, this technology has brought significant benefits to people with busy lifestyles, not to mention reducing the stress of managing their personal belongings.
However, “technology has created more complex problems” should also be considered because it generates unforeseen issues for modern generations, which means that technology can create new forms of crime that people may not immediately be aware of. In many cases, offenders use hacking tools to copy the users’ fingerprints and get unauthorized access to private areas. Consequently, theft may occur due to advanced technology. Without this background, it is challenging to identify the pros and cons of this development, let alone make wise desicion when people only care about the immediate gains.
In conclusion, although problems caused by technology cannot be ignord, I believe that AI is still be needed in modern societies, particularly in societies where further technological advancements remain necessary.
