In our contemporary education system, our subjects are harder than in the past. For this reason, there is now an acclaim that students must know every subject, while others think they should just focus on subjects they are keen on learning. I firmly agree that students should learn subjects they are interested in.
People who believe that knowing every subject is helpful for students argue that, by knowing all subjects, students will be able to increase their abilities. When they study history, geography, and literature, their critical-thinking will improve, and by studying math and science, they will develop problem-solving abilities. Moreover, at a young age, kids don’t know which subjects are interesting for them due to this, they must know every subject, and by knowing them, students will have more opportunities in their work life.
On the other hand, some argue that students should focus only on subjects they excel in or find interesting. Supporters of this opinion suggest that allowing children to study their interests helps them develop motivation and ability. For instance, a student who loves information technology usually doesn’t like studying history, and by studying history, they spend time on something they cannot succeed in, leaving less time for subjects where they could perform better. By concentrating on their strengths, students may achieve greater success and confidence, which can encourage them to pursue higher education or a career in their chosen field. Additionally, this with studying subjects which they like can reduce the stress and students feel more motivated when they don’t study subjects which they find challenging or uninteresting.
In conclusion, when gathering all this opinions its clear that ,both sides have advantage and disadvantage for this reason in my last opinion, young students should focus on which they want to get professional but also , they must have a little information about other subjects for improving some other abilities.
