Among many forecasts about future, change in reading trend that everyone will solely rely on internet-based news sites abandoning the formal printed news, is quite interesting. Although some people are still arguing in favour of printed newspapers, I completely agree that people will change their habit at one point.
Until now, even the age of technology full of inventions like artificial intelligent, couldn’t fully persuade the consumers to turn into convenient method of reading. Despite of the various capabilities of A.I helpful in reading complex news and extracting main points, many people still rather spend money to buy newspapers every week. Statistics still prove that significant amount of people love to read, holding the papers and flipping page by page. This is only because they adore the feedback resulted from using traditional news materials.
With strikingly developing technology that we are facing today, no one can assure how it will change our future. None could say there would not be such a technology that will provide the similar emotional response stimulated by traditional paper. In terms of technology development, impossible is nothing. A group of scientists created a simulation system to emit smell from the content people observe on the screen nowadays. Virtual sensation of touch has developed. At one point, it is undeniable that the virtual world of reading will imitate all the sensation given by the paper-based news and people will unavoidably choose the more convenient method.
In conclusion, despite appreciation of printed newspaper continues, I strongly believe that future society will be completely persuaded by the convenience of the technology.
