While some argue that individuals should take responsibility for reducing environmental pollution, others believe that the government should be held accountable. From my perspective, both approaches are equally effective.
There are compelling reasons why some advocate for individual responsibility in decreasing pollution. Firstly, pollution is primarily caused by daily human activities. For example, the more plastic items people discard, the greater the contamination, leading to issues like water pollution and deteriorating air quality, which can significantly impact people’s health, particularly their respiratory systems. Secondly, if people rely solely on the government, effective cooperation is necessary. This means that the government cannot resolve the issue on its own; residents need to implement solutions and encourage others to do the same. For these reasons, I believe it is essential for individuals to take an active role in protecting our ecosystem.
On the other hand, I believe that the government holds significant responsibility in reducing pollution. One reason for this is that the government is often the first to access information regarding environmental issues. Therefore, it is their duty to develop strategies to raise awareness among residents. Additionally, the government must take responsibility for the environmental consequences of its actions. For instance, if the initiatives they implement are unsuccessful, not only will the climate continue to deteriorate, but people’s quality of life will also be adversely affected. For these reasons, I also believe that environmental protection falls within the government’s responsibilities.
In conclusion, there is an ongoing debate about whether the responsibility for reducing pollution lies with individuals or the government. However, considering the arguments presented, I believe that it is beneficial for both parties to engage in this effort together, whenever possible.
