Many people believe that we all should protect our planet from pollution, others think that this is government’s work. As for me, I consider myself as a part of the individuals who think that this work can be controlled by Ministry of Environment.
Many organizations, including Greenpeace, believe that our planet is in danger and, furthermore, they argue that every human on Earth has responsibility to protect our planet. For instance, they claim, that children should be engaged in garbage collection, as cultivating the habit of proper waste disposal from an early age ensures they will avoid such mistakes in the future. However, the government often overlooks environmental concerns and, in certain cases, exacerbates the issue by engaging in deforestation and constructing industrial facilities without adhering to environmental regulations. Therefore, the concept of environmental protection should be a matter of concern not only for governments but also for individuals worldwide.
However, some individuals argue that environmental issues should be addressed solely by the government, believing it holds the primary responsibility. For example, the government can clearly control the finances that will be allocated to clean-up and protect the environment, because corruption in international organizations is a common phenomenon. Furthermore, worldwide organizations in most cases do not have centralized management, which constitutes a significant disadvantage compared to the government. As a result, government-led initiatives remain the most effective means of addressing environmental problems with clear controls and financial transparency.
In conclusion, while some argue that environmental protection is the sole responsibility of governments, others emphasize individual responsibility. A balanced approach involving both authorities and citizens is the most effective solution to ensure a sustainable future for our planet.
