People argue that it is better to accept a bad moment in life, whereas others claim that it is a big opportunity for trying to improve the situation. This essay discusses both views before arguing that searching for greater conditions brings a wider range of advantages for overcoming difficult situations.
Sometimes life can be difficult, with bad jobs or minor salaries as a standard for many people. Supporters say that it is fine if people just accept and adapt their conditions in front of a difficult situation. For instance, mental problems such as stress or anxiety could increase with an unsatisfactory life because people overthink how to change their situation. However, if people accept the actual moment, they just need to move on, and this reduces the possibility of stress. Therefore, living one day at a time may bring better healthy practices.
By contrast, some people claim that the previous thoughts are conformist. They consider that there are always better opportunities to change and improve life conditions. For example, searching for a good job, moving to another neighbourhood, or raising a better job position can contribute to a better situation. In addition, people need to be more aware of the importance of their lives. In other words, many times we think that we are not enough, and this becomes a limit to improving our conditions. It is about confidence and self-security.
To sum up, although some people consider maintaining the worst conditions for mental health reasons, the fact is that we need to search for a better life because we live too short. For this reason, I strongly believe that it is better to improve the difficult moments.
