In recent times, the debate over the ethical implications of keeping animals in zoos has sparked contrasting opinions. While there are both negative and positive aspects to this transformation, I contend that the advantages of organizing zoos significantly outweigh its disadvantages. This essay aims to elucidate the critical roles of protecting animals in zoos, while highlighting key concerns raised by its critics and maintenance costs.

To commence with, there are several reasons to assert that keeping animals in animal farms is disadvantageous. The first primary objection to zoological gardens stems from ethical concerns about the welfare of animals. Many people consider it inhumane to separating them from the natural environment and the families, leading to restrict their freedom. Many critics also question the standards of these zoos are good enough to take care for all the animals. Moreover, the cost of maintaining zoos is also a major financial pressure in local councils. Many payments must be made on a regular basis such as food, staff, and taxes, which create a huge challenge. For example, Saigon Zoo confirmed that it owes 800 billion VND in taxes and was at risk of closing.

These problems, however, truly pale into insignificance when compared to the advantages of this phenomenon. Animal farms have contributed to developed education about animals and environment. By organizing zoological gardens, individuals, especially students, have more chances to explore and find out more about wild animals, which are difficult to see in their habitats. For instance, garden tour meetings for students have been set out recently, contributing to expanding knowledge and raising awareness of protecting the environment and animals. Moreover, zoological parks also play a vital role in increasing the reproductive potential of endangered animals. The natural environment often offers several dangers aspects such as weather and predators, which make it hard to survive. However, in zoological gardens, the animals can be protected thoroughly, leading to increase the number of individuals. For example, after the last

individuals of the California condors were brought into the San Diego Zoo, their numbers increased tenfold to 330 in just many years.

In conclusion, keeping animals in zoos might possess several particular disadvantages, associated with ethical considerations and a huge sum of money. However, I am more inclined to the view that the advantages, associated with developing educational opportunities and effective methods of reproduction, will likely prevail.
