It is a commonly held belief that the working process of employees who are 65 or more ought to be terminated. However, the other side opines that there should be no retirement age and no one’s career should be restricted due to one’s age. From my perspective, the issue can be solved by taking health status into consideration.
On the one hand, people who think 65 is a retirement age usually argue that aged workers have to resign from their jobs and create conditions for young personnel. In other words, they have already fully satisfied themselves with their job and acquired great experience. Thus, the resignation of old workers can give rise to a decrease in unemployment. Furthermore, it would stimulate young individuals to climb the career ladder and contribute to their realm.
On the other hand, people think that age is just a number, and it should not be a deciding criterion, because every occupation needs an experienced one for constant prosperity. For instance, an official document from a renowned society, Azerishig, suggested that 80 percent of its employees are 50 or higher, proving that whether small or large, every company is in search of anyone skillful.
Finally, my opinion is that when the government passes a law about this topic, health factors would be considered. That is, if the worker’s well-being is not appropriate for one’s job, he or she should retire at once.
To conclude, from my point of view, a worker’s health status must be considered when deciding on one’s retirement. I recommend people ponder a lot about whether quit or not quit from their occupations, analysing all reasons I mentioned above.
