Many individuals think that experts from medical and engineering fields for example, should continue their career in the country they had received their training in, while others think that they should be able to freely decide where they want to work. In my opinion, I think they should be free to decide in such situation.
The system of work in many industries is different from region to another, and this can affect many fields. In many cases it’s considered the best to work in the same country, because trainings aren’t only an application of the knowledge, it’s also for trainees to get used to the system and complete tasks according to specific regulations. An example for such case is the laws set for building and civil constructions which are significantly different around the world, which also dependent on the country’s geography.
In contrast, working in different countries isn’t only better for the person himself, but it’s also beneficial for governments, which are the very impacted by the import and export of the knowledge and experience. Such example are Gulf countries, where many students are sent to USA and Europe in order to gain knowledge and experiences that will impact their own countries later after that period. Companies can benefit from such professionals with international licenses to expand their work around the world.
In conclusion, this decision should be an individual choice and it should be taken in an early stage of the career, but it also depends on the type of the training received and the industry or the field of the professional individual.
