Some people think that professionals like doctors and engineers must work in the country where they study. However, other people believe they should choose where they want to work. In my opinion, professionals should be free to work in another country if they want. Both views will be discussed in this essay.
On one hand, some people argue that these professionals need to stay in their home country. First, their country already supports their education, so they should give service back to the society. For example, a medical student may get a scholarship or cheap university fees from their government. If they move to another country, the home country will lose important workers. Second, if many professionals go abroad, the home country will have less doctors and engineers. This can make hospitals and development projects become worse and slower, especially in developing countries.
On the other hand, many people think professionals should have the freedom to decide where they work. First, everyone has the right to choose a better life. For example, a doctor may want better salary or safer workplace conditions in another country. Second, working abroad can help them gain more experience and skills. Later, they can still return to their home country and help improve the system there. So, letting them go abroad can also bring benefits in the future.
In conclusion, some people believe professionals must work in the country where they trained, while others think they should work wherever they want. I personally believe they should be free to choose their own place to work. Governments should try to improve conditions so that professionals are happy to stay, instead of forcing them.
