Many people believe that schools should only teach subjects that help students find a job. They think that music and sports are a waste of time. However, I disagree with this idea because I believe these subjects help students in many ways.
First, sports and music teach kids how to work hard and stay disciplined. In sports, you learn how to work with a team to win a game. In music, you have to practice every day to get better. These are “life skills” that are very useful when you start working in an office or a business later in life.
Second, these subjects help students stay healthy and happy. If a student only studies math and science all day, they might feel very stressed. Playing a sport or an instrument gives the brain a break. When students are less stressed, they actually do better in their other classes because they can focus more easily.
In conclusion, I think schools should keep music and sports in the classroom. These subjects do not just teach hobbies; they help students become well-rounded people who are ready for the real world.
