In this essay, I will outline both views though argue why as well despite its enormous cost, space exploration is necessitated.

They claim that billions are squandered on large rockets, various satellites and scientific programs while millions die every year around the world from poverty, hunger and poor healthcare. Governments can spend these funds to upgrade existing education systems, create new hospitals, or attack environmental issues like climate change.Other critics also believe that space missions normally take decades to finish, which still may not yield tangible material advantages for the common citizen. As a result, they think national budgets should focus on pressing matters down here on Earth rather than risky findings up in space.

Many inventions developed for space missions have later improved daily life on Earth, including satellite communication, GPS technology, weather forecasting systems, and medical equipment. Furthermore, exploring other planets may become necessary for the survival of humanity in the future, especially if Earth faces overpopulation or environmental disasters. Space research also inspires innovation and encourages young people to pursue careers in science and engineering, which can contribute significantly to economic growth and human progress.
In my opinion, although space exploration requires substantial financial investment, its long-term benefits outweigh the disadvantages. Human civilization has always advanced through exploration and discovery, and space research expands our understanding of the universe while driving technological progress. At the same time, governments should ensure a balance between investing in space programs and solving social problems on Earth.
