It is argued that women should be responsible for looking after their house and children. I totally disagree with this view since women have the right to pursue the careers they are passionate about so childcare and household duties should be shared equally by both parents.
On the one hand, restricting women to household and childcare responsibilities is both unfair and unnecessary The first convincing arguments is that career opportunities are based on ability rather than gender. Indeed, some women have the skills, knowledge, and determination which are needed to succeed in different fields. Inddeed, some women such as doctors, engineers, teachers, and business leaders who possess the skills, knowledge, and determination should be given equal opportunities to work in their chosen fields, enabling them to make valuable contributions to social and economic development. Furthermore, after getting married and having a child, women can continue pursuing their careers while ensuring that their families are well cared for by using professional household and children services or sharing these duties with their partner.
On the other hand, although there is no denying that women play an essential role in taking care of the house and children, these tasks should be shared equally by both parents. For example, when one parent is busy with work, the other can take care of the children or complete household chores, making it easier to balance work and family life. In addition, a division of responsibilities helps reduce the burden on mothers as well as create a happy and stable home environment for children.
In conclusion, women should have equal opportunities to pursue their career goals, thereby family responsibilities should be shared equally between both parents
