Deciding which job to choose and how to make this decision is influenced by many factors. Some people believe, that younger generation should choose their occupations based on their interests and preferences, while others have a point, that youngsters must be more realistic and serious when deciding in which field to work. In this essay, I’ll discuss both viewpoints and give my personal belief about it.
Having a chance to choose a profession one wants and realize oneself in this field is not a privilege these days. As a result, some ones think that young people should pursue careers that are suitable to their interests and abilities. That is because doing the work a person truly enjoys leads to a higher level of motivation and satisfaction. For instance, the best companies and organizations all around the world rather employ a person who is really engaged in their work, than the one who just comes to earn money. In addition, people who are into their jobs always accomplish their work tasks in a shorter period of time, and more importantly, it has a higher quality, that is, what companies benefit from.
On the other hand, some people think that young people should be realistic about their abilities and the opportunities they have, while choosing their occupation. They believe, that everyone must firstly take into account their abilities, rather than the perspectives a person has. Indeed, if someone has a talent to work in a certain field, it can be really beneficial for the society and government, since that person would probably make accomplish more tasks and reach better results, than someone who is really interested in it, but is not actually gifted. Despite all this, a human who is completely dissatisfied with what he or she does, will not be able to realize in certain field.
From my personal point of view, younger generation should try to opt for a profession they are interested in, and what they are good at as well. If they decide to work in a field they are engaged in, but they are not really good at this, it can be problematic to them.Therefore, I believe that they must try to balance all these aspects before pursuing a certain job.
In conclusion, if everyone worked in a field they truly desire, the humanity would have already achieved much greater progress. However, life is unpredictable, not everything goes as one has planned and desired.
