Some people believed that young people should be free to pursue their desired jobs while others think they should choose jobs that are more practical for their future. In this essay, I will discuss both views before giving my own opinion.
On the one hand, pursuing desired occupation could improve and better mental health. When they have a job they desired, their satisfaction could increase leading to more creativity and higher efficiency in that job. Also, pursue desire job, in term of psychology, is a natural way to develop a unique skill of one person. As a result, young mature who follow their desires job may have more motivation which can boost people keep moving forward.
On the other hand, getting a practical job is easier to gain hand-on experience. This is because, it doesn’t take much time to choose a kind of jobs. Pre-mature, also, have better opportunities to work with strange field that they may never touch or have not experience it, therefore, it indirectly improves their long-term memory when they get older by making their myelin thicker and thicker. Furthermore, having a practical job could provide steadily financial resources. When people have financial resources that security enough, it could reduce stress and anxiety. This built their career development path which might useful for their long-term plan.
In summary, pursuing dream and desired job could satisfy young people. Meanwhile, having a realistic and practical occupation could provide a stable financial resource. It also makes it easier to enrich experiences. From my perspective, both of them is much greater than two statements. By getting a practical job first, people will have enough money, then invest what we accumulate back to our “dream job”. This way mitigates the risk of pursuing desired jobs itself and making use of the benefit of getting a practical job.
