Some people believe that a person’s personality will change over time. I agree with this opinion because I think personality can change due to life experiences and social influences.
First, life experiences can change a person’s personality. When we are young, we are often innocent and carefree, and we do not have to think too much. At that time, we live comfortably and face little pressure. However, as we grow up, we have to deal with more difficulties and challenges. These things make us think more maturely and gradually change the way we behave. In the past, I was a shy person. I was afraid of failure, afraid of speaking in front of crowds, and worried about many things. But after joining the basketball club at school and taking part in other activities, I gradually became more confident. I realized that failure is not as scary as I thought, and each time I fail, I grow stronger. Because of that, my personality changed in a positive way.
Second, social environment also has a strong influence on personality. When we change our living, studying, or working environment, we meet new people and learn new things. Living independently and solving problems by ourselves can make a person more mature and responsible. For example, when someone lives far away from their family and has to take care of themselves, they gradually become more independent and less dependent on others.
In conclusion, I believe that personality can change over time. Although some traits may remain the same, life experiences and social influences help people grow and change every day.
