Using animal in the medicine industry is an area of concern. Some figures believe that doing so, enhances mankind welfare, but opponents say, it cannot stand human in a good stead. I am of the opinion that conducting medical tests on animal violates their rights and I will explain my reasons in the following paragraphs.
In this contemporary era, a growing number of individuals have been engaging in some viruses and illnesses, which require development and testing novelty medicine, so pharmacists are to test them on various animals such as rates, rabbits, pigs and so forth because, this experiment not only decrease the medical costly mistakes, but it also provide unlimited room to doctors for evaluating wide range of drugs. Chinese pharmacists, for instance, in recent decades have been leading the first global rank in terms of discovering new medicines and treating serious disease like cancer via using the laboratory mice. Of equal importance is that, these experiments take less budget than those of performing tests on men, since labs are established in small places with some minimal equipment and intangible expenditures.
Yet, some people oppose using animals for improve the mankind well-being as these activities might be at cost of sacrificed animal lives and they have equal rights to those of humans. In other words, doing these tests even for researcher purpose seems to be unethical and should be hindered. American eco-friendly NGOs, is a prime example. This group through raising the public awareness hampered medical tests on animal, in 2010. Although, by experiment modern medicine and drugs on other creatures, unpredictable dire consequences are less likely to occur, one should not take the potential genetic mutations might be associated with clinical examinations for granted, as seen in the case of the Fugy monkey in Africa.
In conclusion, there are individuals whom argue that the utilization of animals in medical research for the advancement of human health is justifiable, whereas others contend that it is unethical. From my perspective, performing diagnostic procedures on animals bring nothing but problems such as genetic anomaly and is morally wrong.
