At the turn of the era, the importance of education and humans’ upbringing has been widely prioritized in society. This pattern leads to a fiery debate between individuals, as some people believe that humanity should stay in full-time education until they reach the age of maturity. From my own perspective, people having this opinion may side against me.
Regarding what kinds of education youngsters should be given, it is obvious that full-time education is only available for the ones having enough time and financial support. Albeit the intense amount of knowledge and useful dynamics, this method takes up much time and energy from students after a whole day learning subjects. As a result, some youngsters – especially individuals having a job for their living – perhaps find full-time education immensely unattainable, due to the fact that they can not strike a balance between studying such an intense amount of knowledge and working to support themselves financially. For example, innumerable families in Africa are living in poverty, and the children need to get exposed to the labour work at such young ages. Obviously these youngsters may find full- time education a hindrance and choose to omit their studies as a resort – which is a downward alarm in nowadays society.
Furthermore, full-time education may also intensify the stress of studies on students, thus reducing their free time to engage in other useful activities. Admittedly education needs to be top of their priority, however other soft skills also contribute to students’ future career. If the new laws were applied and generated, children might face the risk of having their life dynamics and realistic experience dilapidated. For example, highschoolers in China spend over 8 hours full – time studying a day, and as a result various of them feel overloaded and awfully exhausted. Their minds are blank, their eyesights gradually fades, their mental health is adversely wrecked – in the long run, these symptoms may have a detrimental impact on these highschoolers’ future. Many children perhaps regard education as a foundation for their career and only appreciate the overall marks or gpa, not a process of learning and receiving knowledge or absorbing the quintessence of our lives – the ultimate and original purpose of educators.
All in all, I disagree with the opinion that full-time education is mandatory for immature people. Society has to acknowledge that there could not exist any particular “mould” or method that can satisfy the needs of all youngsters, and individuals below 18 should be given the right to choose their own way of studying without any obligation.
