In school, there are many obligatory subjects that provide knowledge around the world for students, such as Literature, Mathematics, and English, besides, it is thought that some aptitude subjects, namely Music, Drama, and Creative Writing are also pretty necessary and should appear in the curriculum. From my perspective, I completely agree with this view for several reasons.
First of all, art and special subjects help students develop comprehensively, such as enhancing creativity and critical thinking. Engaging in activities such as Music or Creative Writing will encourage students to think outside the box, while also expressing their feelings and ideas clearly and coherently to solve problems. For instance, students learning musical instruments such as piano or guitar not only practice logical thinking abilities but also develop creativity through performing and composing music. Or writing short stories, poems helps students practice critical thinking and explore new ideas.
Moreover, art subjects improve communication and collaboration skills. For example, students in drama classes often have to work in groups to prepare and perform plays, which helps them learn to work together and develop communication skills. Bands often require students to work together, listen, and adjust to create a perfect performance. Or Creative Writing, for instance, participate in groups or workshops that help students share ideas, receive feedback, and improve their writing skills.
In conclusion, art subjects bring many benefits for students to develop themselves and improve life skills. Schools should create conditions and encourage students to participate in art subjects to find their own strengths and promote them.
