Some individuals believe that learning history is worthless, while others argue that learning about past events assists us to better understand the present.
This essay will elaborate both perspectives, which I believe that studying history brings advantageous impacts in the present.
One and the foremost, the events that happen in the past have become irrelevant to some of the individuals,which makes them forget about the past. Wars, conflict and the ancient perspective tended to believe as stories that were not linked directly to the current phenomenon in the present. For example, some of the most historical events, world war one and two causing the destruction and humiliation to most of the countries, have been different from today conflicts in the international scale. However, I believe that despite its irrelevant case, learning history gives a mandate from the past experiences to avoid unwanted issues.
Learning history, on the other hand, can be interpreted as a valuable key to resolve and encourage today’s issue. For example, the experience of the researchers from the past, could become the fundamental theory that can be enhanced and developed with the current technology. Therefore, chemistry and physics were developed by each generation. Moreover, In the present, several conflicts of different nations had been avoided by forming an international organization to obtained an agreement on some regulations. Enrolling in these international regulations, it’s also one of the various ways to reach equality and justice for every country.
Overall, despite its irrelevant links to current issues, the benefits offered from learning history such as the development of certain studies and international agreements can help us better to overcome some challenges by the present.
