Some people argue that studying history not give any knowledge or lacks useful information. However, others think that learning about the past can assist us better know about the present.
On the one hand, I am strongly believe that studying about the past can help us to know about the present. By learning about the past, we can see the causes and consequences of human actions which can help us from avoid these mistakes and not repeat them. For instance, reading the history books can assist us knowing our culture or other cultures more exactly. And study historical texts about politics can give better knowledge for government to make clear decisions.
On the other hand, learning about the past is not good for modern era and most of the youngest’s have not interest for history and did not have essential place for future. For example, in the past, artificial intelligence did not exist, and having a knowledge about the past cannot offer direct solution. Therefore, most individuals strongly believe that learning about the past did not needed for future instead they prefer learning about present. And, also some individuals think that the future are more valuable than history.
To conclude, studying past has a vital place for our present because to know about the cultures, laws and great figures from the past, after reading historical books it helps us develop critical thinking and avoid making some mistakes which done in the past. According to these reasons, learning history should continue in the present and future.
