Getting a job in large companies has, of course, some advantages. If the job posotion and the payment rates were equal, I would prefer working in a large company to a small one due to the significant factors like job security and growth opportunities.
I believe that being a part of large organizations can provide individuals with several opportunities in their career path because there are so many job positions in these companies’ organizational structure, demonstrating different skills and experiences. The diversity of required skills allows employees to learn a great deal from their coworkers, enriching their work experience. Furthermore, large companies often have well-defined career paths that serve as a roadmap, guiding employees in their professional growth. For example, in my 20s, I was employed in a large company for modeling the business processes, and after a few months, I got the business process analyst position in the company. I think these kinds of opportunities are rare in small companies.
Another crucial factor in job security, which provides the employees with a sense of stability while working in a company. Due to their agile and unstable nature, small companies are often a risky choice for those seeking long-term employment. In contrast, large companies often provide job stability which is essential for supporting a family. Additionally, I believe that large companies not only offer stability but also ensure their employees feel secure about their job.
Summing up, I agree with the idea of preferring large companies to small ones. Large companies can provide a better leadership in individuals’ career journeys and also help them to feel secure about their job possitions.
