It is believed that wealthiness promotes satisfaction, while others hold the view that joy is being contributed by various types of features. From my own perspective, happiness is defined by each person’s mindset and it is completely objective.
On the one hand, the economy is the top priority of most people nowadays as it can meet their desires. The majority of people’s goals include a good financial state as money allows them to buy whatever they want which creates satisfaction. Furthermore, material possessions simply being such as travelling or giving presents would create unforgettable memories as they are spending worthy moments with their friends and family. Additionally, being wealthy could provide better medical conditions for every individual and their family. As a result people are more assured and happy if they or their families’ members can maintain good health.
On the other hand, although material possession has a crucial contribution to promote dopamine, it isn’t everything we should completely concentrate on as joy is embraced by many aspects. The most common aspect is relationships such as family or friends play a significant role in every individuals’ life. For instance, people who spend most of their time working often make a generous amount of money. Meanwhile, their time for family, friends or romantic relationships is limited by their busy working schedule. Resulting in lacking a sense of comfort, peacefulness, understanding which could easily lead to depression or emptiness . Moreover, focusing mainly on achieving physical possessions could prevent people from finding a truly romantic relationship and bonding with their family.
In conclusion, material possession could certainly enhance one’s joy but it is not the key for long-term happiness. Relationships with others often play a much more significant role in every individuals’ life.
