Some individuals believe that revenues coming from taxes should prefer to health care, whereas others expressed concerns that there are more important factors than health care. Both viewpoints are valid, but I lean towards the former.
In terms of taxpayers’ money, they can be rich people, or those who use a variety of luxury, limited goods. This is particularly noticeable with the income tax, which is levied on individuals having high income, it can be considered as one of the ways to redistribute wealth in society. In addition, the public are addicted to alcohol, smoke, and beer or even buying luxury cars, leading to being taxed highly because the government does not encourage them to use these goods that are detrimental to people’s health. Thus, giving priority to them is unfair for the poor. Of course, there are other cases, people have to pay taxes, similarly valuable added tax, custom duty…these people, however, have to pay extra for what they buy to cater for their demands, and this money is indirectly repaid for payers through construction of infrastructures, and so on.
Regarding the health of inhabitants, it plays an important role in society. This is because only habitants have good health, which enables to boost productivity resulting in economic growth as well as these habitants have money to pay taxes. Take, COVID pandemic, for instance, throughout this period, people experienced unemployment owing to keeping social distance. Consequently, GDP ( Gross domestic products) of almost all of the nations decreased sharply, and many entrepreneurs went bankrupt. As a result, the Vietnamese government implemented a free- vaccination program to prevent spread, facilitating society’s activities to continually operate. If this government did not prioritized health services, this would affect not only the population but also the whole of society like: well-being, economy.
In conclusion, while concerns about taxpayers, this is unnecessary because they are too rich, consuming listed goods, and the amount of money is indirectly returned. The priority should be given to people’s health due to having good health, which contributes to social ability.
