Band 7+: Some people think that all the students in University should study whatever they like. Others believe that they should only be allowed to study subjects that will be useful in future, such as those related to science and technology

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

People have different views about what to study at university. Some individuals believe that students should be free to pursue whatever interests them. While others say that they should study the courses that will be useful for their career. Although subjects like science and technology could help students secure their future, I believe that interest in a particular subject is crucial for personal fulfillment and success.

On one hand, many individuals believe that students should be free to choose their major. Every student has different talents and abilities, and we can not force them to study the same subjects. Furthermore, pupils are more motivated to learn when they engage with topics they are passionate about. In other words, this motivation significantly increases their chances of future success.

On the other hand, some argue that university students should concentrate on courses that are directly beneficial to their future careers. For example, fields related to technology and science have seen an increase in job opportunities recently. As a consequence, students in these disciplines can secure well-paying jobs and enjoy financial stability.

In my opinion, it is essential for students to follow their passions. When forced to study subjects they dislike, they can lose their creativity and motivation, which may lead to failure.

In conclusion, while studying practical majors has its advantages, I believe that allowing students the freedom to explore their passions leads to more fulfillment and long-term success. When students can engage with subjects they love, we can foster a generation of motivated, innovative, and fulfilled individuals who are well-prepared for both personal and professional challenges in their lives.
