Nowadays people argue that using fauna in testing medicine and cosmetics should be stopped while others state humans have to be protected. The lack of animal variety encourages people to be aware of the need to conserve biodiversity and have campaigns about the ethical use of animals. However, gaining the advantages from animals by utilizing them for the quality control process should not be a worry if people know how to procedure and treat the animals that are used.
Many animal safety activists are afraid of the sustainability and consistency of researchers following animal testing rules. Moreover, there are many options to do experiments without using animals and some researchers have done their research by adapting the method that uses plants and synthesis products for observation. For instance, modified sponges with a similar texture to human skin are available and ready to be tested with new cosmetics inventions.
Although the solutions of replacing animals with other materials for the testing process have been found, the accuracy is still being questioned. In detail, nonorganic materials are not always suitable for all human skin types, which means there are some possibilities for some unpredicted risks. Furthermore, some people still trust in animal testing since the species called primates have the nearest equality of biological aspects with humans.
In conclusion, humans have to be prevented from any endangered products so medicine and cosmetics should be tested strictly. In order to meet the standard, animals as the closest species to humans can be used in experiments but still, ensure animals are safe in the form of high monitoring from the government.
