Nowadays, there is an ongoing debate about how buildings should be designed. Some people believe that it is important to construct houses that last a long time, while others think that accommodation should be built quickly and cheaply.
If we look back at ancient architecture, we can see that old buildings were designed carefully, with attention to every small detail. For example, in our country the most beautiful and strong buildings are traditional ones. As we know, for our ancestors, not only the external appearance but also strength and stability were essential. In many countries, traditional houses are considered more impressive and reliable because of their solid construction. One major advantage of such buildings is safety. Due to their strong foundations, old houses reduce the risk of injuries and deaths during natural disasters, such as earthquakes. As a result, people feel safer living in them.
Although, I support this idea, I feel worry about those who cannot afford such apartments. To construct high-quality and long-lasting houses, builders need professional architects, strong materials with good quality and significant financial resources. In many cities, new appartements are expensive, especially for people with low incomes. That’s why they are anxious about where to live. Consequently, the government is often forced to provide cheaper and faster housing solutions for the growing population. Unfortunately, they will not last so long.
In conclusion, I agree with both views. In my opinion, governments should aim to build strong and safe buildings while keeping them affordable. This balance would help people live in safely and comfortably without creating financial difficulties for those who need housing the most.
