In modern society, it is often argued that private vehicles should not be allowed in city centres. I strongly agree with this opinion, it can create cleaner cities and encourage the use of public transport.
Admittedly, banning private cars from city centres may have some disadvantages such as high level of pressure on public transport especially morning and night because of many people use public vehicles instead of their own cars. Consequently, public transports very overcrowded or uncomfortable. Another major drawbacks is that decline local business and shops from city centres. People who rely on private vehicles may find difficult to travel, hence some shopping centre could lose their customers. However, these drawbacks are outweighed by the long-term benefits of reducing congestion and improving air quality.
The primary reason why I support this policy is that it can significantly reduce traffic congestion and air pollution. For example, private cars prohibite from city centres, it would be useful young generations because wide range of disease may be decrease in the future such as asthma, blood pressure, cardio vascular or headache. As a result, that measure create cleaner and healthier urban environment. Another significant positive development is that a ban encourages people to use public transport. More people use buses, metro, trains instead of their cars, as a result roads more safer for pedestrians and cyclists. Worldwide many people death on road accidents especially rush traffic congestion. Therefore governments establish that law for decline that negative statistics. For example, many European cities have restricted private cars, which has led to cleaner air and less congestion, such as Paris, London, Brussel.
In conclusion, despite that policy have a few disadvantages, I strongly support banning private cars from city centres since it improves both the environment and the quality of urban life.
