Some people claim that studying a huge number of subjects for older school children is better to develop a range of knowledge. However, other think that they should study a smaller number of subjects and focus in details. This essay intends to discuss both views.
First and foremost, to become an expert in anything one should have to cling to that skill. For instance, to become a doctor one has to gain detail and practical knowledge in biology, to become a mathematician one has to gain superior knowledge of mathematics. For older school children the more study time they will give in smaller amount of subjects the more expert they will get on those subjects. Moreover, Schools have varieties of subject besides the main subjects. If children ask to focus on every subject equally, they will get lower score on main subjects.
However, giving the students opportunity to get more learning materials is excellent for them. As exploring is mandatory for every school children. Getting more wisdom and knowledge from large amount of subjects make them decide to what they get more passionate about. Those learning from varieties courses make them better understand their social and practical life. Furthermore, to become a successful and intelligent person in future needs wide range of knowledge which can be found in large number of subjects.
To sum up, I personally agree that for older school children, wide range of subjects is needed to develop a range of knowledge for their personal and practical life.
