As human beings, we naturally need to rest on our free time to recover from the stress of work and everyday life. In fact, everyone has different preferences and needs when it comes to spending their downtime. Personally, I prefer to be active during this time because it makes me feel better. Furthermore, people are free to choose how they want to spend their free time, and there is no definitive answer to what is the best.
Some people want to unwind after their day of work. These people may enjoy watching movies, reading or getting a massage. People who have physical jobs, such as doctors, teachers or builders, might opt for these kinds of activities. If you are a doctor, for instance, you might feel that you need to let your body rest after work and you would not be keen on doing a five kilometer run after work, because you are already physically exhausted.
On the contrary, some people choose to be active in their spare time because they have sedentary jobs. For example, these people may spend all day sitting on a chair and doing their work. At the end of a working day, they may suffer from a backache, and their whole body may feel stiff so they need to stretch their muscles and improve their health by doing some activity, such as going to the gym or swimming. Being active in their spare time can also boost their energy levels, increase their productivity, and prevent various diseases.
To conclude, the important thing is that people want to stay healthy by choosing what is best for them. In my view, the wrong way is to stay at home during your spare time if you have a stable job. This is because staying at home can lead to boredom, isolation, and depression. Therefore, I think that people should balance their work and life by finding activities that suit their interests and needs.
