Opinions are divided on whether to invest in mineral exploration or not. While this is welcomed by some supporters, others voice their concerns about its potential drawbacks. In this essay, I am going to scrutinize both sides of this subject before fully drawing a conclusion that its demerits far outweigh its merits.
It is indubitable that mineral s’ researches yield a couple of compelling favorable aspects. The most critical point is this domain may satisfy people’s curiosity and broaden their horizons a lot. On the grounds that the human race is instinctively inquisitive, they tend to leave no stone unturned to gain an intensive knowledge about the world surrounding them including the nature, or even the space. Encyclopedia may be a case in point, which progressively and continually added and amended. On top of this, researchers may be motivated than ever before to explore extraterrestrial things because of countless energy-related problems. In order to cope with ever-increasing population, the energy demands have shown to experience an unprecedented increase, breeding not only the energetic scarity, but also other environmental pollutions.
On the other hand, many naysayers also find themselves in disaccord with space exploration for certain demerits in terms of its cost and safety issue. First and foremost, space exploration is so labour-intensive and exorbitant when it comes to buying state-of the art or heavy required technology that it takes so much money away from other important domains. That being the case, local authorities currently grapple with organsing extortionate space campaings despite their obsecurity and uncertainty, which make them find it difficult to allocate funds for more pressing issues, including health, education or the like. Moreover, this task may also pose a threat to workers’lives due to countless lurking risks and unexpected incidents. This may be attributed to the fact that human beings is still unaware of lots of things about the mysterious space.
On balance, while exploring extraterrestrial materials is a dould-edged sword, I think it should be taken into consideration before starting because of its safety risks.
