There is a debate over the responsibility of museums. While some people argue that museums should focus on entertaining children, I believe that they need to educate and guide them for several reasons.
On the one hand, it could be argued that museums should entertain children in order to make visits more appealing and engaging. By making visits attractive, youngsters may want to go to museum more. This can result in cultural awareness and interest in history among children. For example, in Uzbekistan, there is a wide range of museums, but the most popular ones often include shows and playgrounds.
Another concern is that students are already focused on school curricula, requiring them to study and explore new subjects. Adding more educational content in museums can overwhelm them. If someone really wants to learn history, they can do it independently without any guidance.
Despite these arguments, I side with those who believe that museums should concentrate on educating children. When students learn in the museum, they can feel the atmosphere and can memorize facts easily. As a result, students are better able to use their knowledge in the exams or in real-life situations. Another compelling reason is that museums can make educational content more appealing, by adding some devices such as VR technology, which can provide realistic and impressive experiences. For instance, in Dubai there is a museum with 4d screens where people can explore historical towns, place visually.
In conclusion, although some people believe that museums should prioritize entertainment rather than education, I firmly believe that students can benefit more from learning in museums.
