Band 5: Some people think that people who are 60 years old should not work and should be made to retire. To what extend do you agree or disagree? (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

A segment of society believes that 60 should be the mandatorily retired aged, and people should not be permitted to work beyond this limit. In my opinion, I’m totally agree with this statement where people must retire and stay free from job because at that age, individuals should focus on family, health, stay calm, compose and so on. People must earn enough money to live life evenly after 60 so that they can’t be depend on anyone financially.

Conversely, retirement at 60 aged allow them pursue activity that brings joy and fulfilment, without any pressure of 9-5 job. This, in turn, can lead to improved mental and physical health, as well as a greater sense of purpose and satisfaction. Additionally, they are also able to contribute to the society. It can create a job opportunity for the youngers to enter workforce, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to industries. This can lead to increased innovation, productivity, and economic growth. Industries also get a chance to explore the young mind’s idea, creativity, perspective.

To summarize, I strongly agree that 60 should be the mandatory retirement age. It allows individuals to focus on their personal well-being, pursue their passions, and maintain financial independence. While some argue that this will be unfair to many citizens, my opinion stands on the benefits of it as it overweighs the drawbacks. So, people should indulge themselves on worship at God or universe and live life healthy, happily.
