Nowadays, public transport system has become a significant issue in modern society. Some people argued that government should cover all the cost of public transport for the people who use it. In my opinion, I partially agree that should be free-off charge for students, elderly and low-income people.
Without a doubt, managing fee-free transit systems serves as a powerful catalyst for encouraging commuters to use it. If government establish free public transport, people start to utilize it for commuting and running errands, which provide less usage of privet cars, thereby providing reduce traffic and less pollute the environment. As a result, air become cleaner and it also contribute to less traffic jams on the roads. Furthermore, organizing a fee-free public transportation, helps people who come from low-income families or commuters like students and workers to utilize without thinking about the bill cost.
From a critical point of view, full free transport poses a serious catalyst for financially problems. When people pay for tickets, it used to cover transport costs, such as fuel, technical services and stuff salary. If the government were to fully fund the system, it would require a huge amount of public money, which might reduce funds for other important services like healthcare or education. Moreover, when services are free, people may misuse them, leading to overcrowding or damage to vehicles, which further increase covering costs.
In conclusion, although free-cost transit will be benefit to students and everyday commuters who have tight budget, but fully-free transport cause financial problems which might effects other major sectors, such as healthcare or education. In my opinion, manage only free tickets
