Band 5+: some people think that the adverts control what we purchase, while others think they are useful sources of information products. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Advertisments play a quintessential role in this digital era. Whilst some people claim that adds force consumers to buy specific products, I argue that they have become the main source of products’ information.

On the one hand, opponents belive that adverts force people to buy luxury items, which they have never thought about. To illustrate, adolescents tend to buy brand clothes, which are incredibly expensive because they want to show off among their colleagues. For example, it was shown in a recent study by Alexandria University that a plethora of undergraduates have become interested in purchasing brand clothes in recent years. Therefore, what can be assumed is that if there were not any adds, brand shops would not find buyers.

On the other hand, there are enurmous inventions in this modern world, and people know about it from media. In other words, dishwashing machine has become popular in recent years, which has made life more convenient. For instance, if people watch advertisment, they will know the new technology; as a consequence, they will fulfill their needs. Thus, it is reaveled that life has been more confenient ought to knowing about new items from media.

In conclusion, some people believe that adds force people to purchase unnessecary stuff, while others hold the view that they explain the new technology. In my opinion, advertis have a positive impact on the world.
