Currently, there is an ongoing debate about implementing technology in our everyday lives. While some insist that technological advancements facilitate us in different spheres of life, others think that they only create additional challenges. In my opinion, technology should be implemented in our daily routine to help with household chores.
The majority of people believe that up-to-date technology gives people opportunity to deal with home tasks easily. As most people are employed, they do not have sufficient time to tidy the whole house manually; in such cases, robots can alleviate additional workload at home. For instance, modern washing machines or dish washers can save up to several hours and energy which would be required to complete tedious tasks of washing and cleaning. Thus, additional work force in terms of robots and electronic facilities has made it easier to handle laborious household tasks.
On the other hand, some argue that introduction of technology deteriorates our life by dulling our cognitive abilities. Supporters of this view believe that we are way too dependent on technology as everything is done by electronic assistance, which creates a potential risk for our mental abilities in short term. A very clear example can be applying artificial intelligence as the main source of composing homework assignments at university or school. As a result, using AI tools prevents a person from thinking, which leads to the loss of an ability to create our own works when relying too much on technology.
In conclusion, while some people state that technology can be utilized in daily tasks to make them less time and energy-consuming, others argue that we become less mentally developed with AI tools. I believe technology eases our life by letting us focus on more important tasks than cleaning the house. However, technology can lessen mental abilities, if used improperly.
