It is contended that global businesses are dedicated to environmental solutions, while others emphasize other international issues. This essay will briefly discuss both aspects, including my viewpoint.
To begin with, it is true to assume that environmental preservation is crucial in global meetings due to environmental issues such as global warming having detrimental impacts on our planet. Governments, therefore, usually debate this subject once a year so that they can impose measures or laws to deter the consequences of global warming and even other ecological issues. For instance, governments put collective efforts into annual cooperation to impose “green taxes” on drivers and airline companies which are used to invest in renewable energy from solar, wind, and water power utilized by nearly 90% of the world, promoting a healthier environment.
On the other hand, protecting the global environment is not the primary purpose of most international cooperation, but economic strategies play a vital role in global business. It is obvious that international trade and investment are important for developing countries because they can foster global economies and have certain positive impacts on living standards around the world. The World Trade Organization promotes international trade by setting rules and regulations that aim to ensure a fair and open market.
In conclusion, while there are arguments that discussing solutions to environmental problems is the central motive in cooperation, others put an emphasis on other global benefits. International regulators ought to weigh the benefits of global commerce and the environment equally, in my opinion.
