It is often argued that online education is more effective than traditional classroom-based education. I firmly disagree with this view because traditional education is better for students, as will be explained in this essay.
One of the main reasons why I disagree with this view is that not all students can study through technological devices. Given that some students come from poor family backgrounds, they may not be able to buy the devices required for online learning. For example, a student without a suitable laptop or smartphone may find it difficult to attend online classes regularly. Consequently, they may be unable to continue their online education properly. In addition, another major reason is that students can easily lose concentration while studying online, since they are often distracted by social media, games and other online activities. Therefore, they may fail to focus on their classes and may receive lower marks.
Furthermore, a compelling reason to favour traditional classroom education is that it provides face-to-face interaction between teachers and students because they can see and communicate with each other directly in a physical classroom. Hence, students are less likely to lose focus on their learning. Moreover, another important point is that they can receive immediate feedback from their teachers. This feedback helps them identify their mistakes and improve their knowledge. Consequently, students can become more knowledgeable and improve their academic performance.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that traditional classroom-based education is more effective than online education because it provides equal learning opportunities and helps students remain focused on their studies.
