Many people argue that higher education must be free for everybody, despite their financial background. However, i totally disagree with this statement because some citizens believe that budgetary issues are a crucial and university fees are the main source of income for lecturers’ salaries.
To begin with, some people feel that budgetary issues are a significant factor. Firstly, according to the world accounting researches by PISA 53% of college students think college life is only a demand for them, there are also 24% of scholars feel it is only an obligation given by parents, and another 23% think that it is beneficial for themselves, it shows that only a small percentage of scholars take college life seriously, this indicates that tuition fees are one of the main reasons students continue attending university
Additionally, some institutes argue that university fees are the primary source of lecturers’ salaries. For example, if education should be free for everyone, then who will pay the teachers and the staff, therefore, this will affect the government budget, because in the end they have to allocate millions of dollars or even more for lecturers’ wages in many universities as a result, no one would be willing to work without fair wages.
In conclusion, educational fees cannot be free for everyone because some institutions pay their lecturers using students’ tuition fees which would be affected if all aspects of education were free, on the other hand, many students see tuition fees as a key motivation to continue
