Many people assume that watching tv has negative impact on children. Meanwhile, other people believe watching tv is beneficial for children. Although watching tv at an early age can help broaden children’s mind, I think it still has more disadvantages than advantages.

It is undeniable that watching TV brings some advantage to children. First and formost, watching tv help children gain more knowledge about various topics. Television enables children to access to get information. Therefore, they can learn more new things, leading to knowledge development in children. For example, children can search information related to cosmos, or biology, making them be able to understander deeper in that field. Furthermore, children can use television as a relaxing device, which helps enhance their well-being. By accessing entertaining information, student will have time to unwind after learning at school. As a result, it is clear that watching television has positive impacts on children.

Nevertheless, it is admitted that watching televison causes negative effects. Firstly, watching tv can addict children if they overuse it. Watching tv will make them have the temporary satisfaction, meaning that children will become eager for getting that short-term joy. As a result, they will become easily addicted to that. Furthermore, children have possibility to absorb adult content such as violence, sexuality, which will cause unrighteous behaviors. These behaviors will leave permanent servere problem relating to mental health such as anxiety, depression.

In conclusion, it is true that watching tv has both negative and positive impacts on children. In my view, I believe watching tv will bring more disadvantages rather than advantages accounting to children’s awareness problem. In general, most children are not able to avoid temptation on tv.
