Band 5+: Some say that museums should charge for entry; others think they should be free.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In our modern world people often spend their free time on cultural activities. One type of this relaxation is visiting of public museums. However, a question exists, one group of people think that these visiting must be free, others believe that people who wants to visit these places should pay for it. I share the first position.

On the one hand, visiting museums helps people to improve their mind and broaden their horizons. Some people, for example teenagers and students, just can’t pay for it because they don’t have money. They prefer intellectual relaxation but they don’t have money enough to buy the ticket. Besides usually this kind of places people prefer to visit with their family. Parents want to show their child masterpieces but when they buy the tickets, they face problem because three or more tickets cost very much money. So, many people prefer other type of spending time and it influences on their mind improving.

On the other hand, museums spend shares of income to support authors of sculptures or pictures. If the entrance will be free, it will be a big problem to many creators because they wiil not to receive additional money bonuses from their works. Secondly, a problem appears to government. The maintaining cultural sphere is one of key outcomes in budget of country. If all the tickets become free, the government must spend more money on it. It influences on other sphere which politics can improve on this money.

In conclusion, I want to say again that cultural sphere between people become more interesting every year, but a question about the tickets prices is very difficult. I think that it must be free, because it positive influences on peoples knowledge and save their money. However, when tickets will be completely free, the many problems with supporting authors and outcomes of government will appear.
