Schools around the world started restricting the use of phones for scholars. It should be considered positive, because these changes can rapidly increase the level of education of students and help them with improving socializing skills.
Banning the usage of phones can improve learning itself. This is simply because without this devices there is much less distractions both for students and teachers. While scholars keep their phones nearby, there is uncontrollable desire to check messages, scroll in the internet and react to all alerts. These distractions shorten their attention span in a long-term perspective. Restricting the phones during school time will help students to focus and get better education.
During the breaks between the classes most of the students just scroll their phones and do not interact with other kids. This may have an effect on socializing skills of those. Banning the use of this distraction may help scholars to communicate, play or study with each other more. For instance, during the classes where teacher collected all of the phones the interaction between me and my classmates were definitely better.
To conclude, despite the fact that phones are important part of our life, schools should limit their use by students. It would help not only with getting better education but also with improving important social skills.
