There is an increasing trend in the number of crimes in some countries with some people believing that having more cops on the roads is the greatest way to decline and stay aginst crime. I completey disagree with the idea and think that educating citizens would be more beneficial .
Some people believe that crime should be combatted by the government and allocating budgets to practice and deploy more police officers to secure citizens across all parts of the city. But this way they increase the amount of crime. For example, in the USA in the city of Saint Louis, the high number of offenses in 2019, were no matter the number of policeofficers, criminals killed overall 2000 persons per 100,000 population. In addition, in many parts of the world, crime will continue in spite of cops.
Unfortunately, even if we have a plethora of police officers, we cannot stop crime. I mean, the best way to prevent the offense is to educate people from childhood. As a lot of countries do not teach this kind of thing. Afghanistan, for example, does not educate persons about crime from the beginning, and that leads to a high number of criminals, so we should teach our children better things such as to defend the homeland, and provide better examples for individuals from a very young age.
In conclusion, individuals should set good examples for each other to combat crime. I believe that in the next generation, there will be no offenses and persons will get along.
