Although I agree that the popularity of fashions in clothes and other consumer goods shows the trend of human beings to copy one another, I still believe that dressing the same clothes or buying the same goods is related to their emotions and feelings.
First of all, the “copy” word means people wear the same style of outfit of someone, which then expands to a large cohort of people wearing the same style, or so called “butterfly wing effect” in some countries . It can be explained that people believe that those outfits are feasible and make their appearances better, so they choose to copy that. For instance, in 2000s there was a common trend of young citizens wearing y2k outfits, which were really unique but cool for youth in those years. Overall, the popularity of fashions in clothes and other consumer goods illustrates the tendency of human beings to copy one another.
In contrast, while there is a trend of fashion in clothes and consumer goods, I think that this is also related to people’s feeling. It is because wearing outfit that they think it is good means they have a positive feeling about that outfit. Accidently, anothers’ feeling about that outfit are also good, so it becomes the trend in wearing clothes. Unless youth felt that y2k outfits were beautiful and good for them, it would not be the trend in 2000s. Ultimately, for some people, emotion and feeling about fashion is the commence of forming the trend in clothes and consumer goods.
To conclude, while I agree that the tendency of human beings copy another is shown in the popularity of fashion in clothes and other consumer goods, it is believed to be raleted to people’s emotions and feelings. But no matter to say, what make them feel better is the key to improve one trend in the long run.
