Some would argue that one of best ways of looking for gifted people is by organizing talent television programs, while others believe that they are just for enjoyment. While many talents have been discovered by these competitions, I believe that they are challenging for participants.
On the one hand, people watching these shows feel relaxed and with no pressure, that is one of the main purposes of the shows which are designed to be exciting and attractive. For example, the famous The Voice show in the US has attracted millions of viewers every single season because there are a lot of good singers and songs and well-organized dances, even modern fashion. However, I believe that the shows are competitive and challenging for participants that are different from viewer’s perspective.
On the other hand, there are those that believe that these programs are a good path of searching for talented individuals. The shows are available for everyone around the whole country to join, no matter what their age or experience, and the competitions are designed to be challenging from beginning to end. For example, one of the famous competitions in Viet Nam is the Olympia Journey which is for talented high school students. The winner must overcome every bright face in the whole nation to get the prize. There are many levels of difficulties to be examined the participants’ ability, such as knowledge of match, society, and English skills. I believe many young-gifted individuals have been identified on those programs every year.
In conclusion, although pleasure seems to be an essential part of every television shows from watcher’s opinion, the talent shows are well-designed to test and discover the best talent.
