In my country, Kazakhstan, we have many famous shows like “Silk Way Star” and new projects from our famous singer Dimash Qudaibergen. In these shows, people from different cities come to Astana or Almaty to sing, dance, or play the dombyra. People participate because they want to become famous and win prizes. It is a big chance for them to show their skills to millions of people. Audiences like to watch these shows because they are exciting and they enjoy hearing the emotional stories of the contestants.
When someone wins, they often get a contract or money to record an album. However, winners do not always stay famous for a long time. I think the TV channels and producers profit the most because they get high ratings and a lot of money from advertisements.
There are other ways to find talented people. For example, artists can post videos on TikTok or Instagram to get noticed. Also, teachers can find talented children in music schools or at local festivals in different regions of Kazakhstan. In conclusion, talent shows are fun to watch, but they are not the only way to find real stars.
