The presented graph highlights data about male and female Australian inhabitants in various age groups who exercised regularly in 2010.
It is clearly seen that elderly men and women were almost equally physically active during that year, with men at 46.7 and women at 47.1 percent.
As the bar graph suggests, young men aged from 15 to 24 exercised slightly more than ladies in the same age category, with 52.8 and 47.7 percent respectively. 42.2 percent of Australian males aged from 25 to 34 did sports regularly, whereas their female peers exceeded them by around 6 percent. The difference was especially prominent among people from 35 to 44 years old: only 39.5 percent of men were physically active, while Australian women accounted for 52.5 percent in 2010. The figures for middle-ages people (45 – 54 y.o.) were relatively at the same level with 43.3 percent of men and 53.3 percent of women. Finally, among people within the 25-64 age group 45.1 percent of men and 53 percent of women did sports on a regular basis in 2010.
