There is an opinion that the optimal strategy for a nation to build a stable future is to take more opportunities for the younger generation. This is a well-justified view for several key reasons.
One reason is balanced and stable national progress. When the youth have access to all possible resources, and the state motivates the development of their skills and abilities, they will later apply the knowledge they gain to the development of their countries. This helps cultivate critical thinking. For instance, in Belarus, all students have the opportunity to learn a second foreign language free of charge. Recent studies have shown that learning foreign languages improves thinking skills and helps find innovative ways to solve complex problems. Without these opportunities, the younger generation would face degradation, which would not benefit future development.
Another important reason is improving the well-being of countries in the near future thanks to an educated youth. When people acquire new knowledge and apply it to develop new technologies and introduce innovations for the state, it gives an impetus to future well-being. For example, many well-known corporations invest in scientific programs and take opportunities to continue their work and expand knowledge. If there were no such investments, the world of business and government would remain stagnant or even deteriorate.
In conclusion, I fully agree with the idea that the smartest way for governments to prepare for the future is to contribute to the development of the younger generation, because it offers two major advantages: economic gains and a more educated generation.
