It has become increasingly common for individuals to grow old. Some say the government should care for old people. Others say that it is the family’s responsibility. While there may be no one to look after them, a nursing home will help the elderly. I agree with the viewpoint that families should stay together and that children need to be looked after.

On the one hand, there are clear arguments for the care of the elderly. One of the main reasons is that if both adults work, there may be no one at home to provide the necessary support. This means that it is hard for the elderly when there is no one at home because they cannot do their own things. Another reason is that nursing homes and retirement homes are structured to provide the right support and care. For example, it is better for the elderly to live in a nursing home than to suffer alone at home; that is why the government created nursing homes.

On the other hand, I agree with the viewpoint that families should care for the elderly. Firstly, I believe that families should support one another whatever the situation. This is because it is not called family for nothing . A family should be there to help each other any situation. Secondly, l also feel that grandparents having looked after their children in the past, now the children should look after them. For example nowadays, children need to pay attention to the spiritual and physical needs of grandparents as well.

In conclusion, some people say that government should care for old people. Others say that it is the family’s responsibility. I agree with the viewpoint that families should stay together and that children need to be looked after
