The charts illustrate three types of nutrients in classical meals which are consumed in the USA. All of them considered unhealthy if it is eaten in large quantities on a daily basis.
Overall, it is vividly seen that the highest rates of consuming sodium and saturated fat are estimated at 43% and 37% during dinner time. For added sugar, it rates in 42% and shows the best result among others.
There is almost an equal percentage between the consumption of sodium and saturated fat. During breakfast time and snacks the usage of sodium in typical meals was measured in the same percentage, 14% equally. It has only a small minority of difference in saturated fat and presents 16% and 21% of consumption. Sodium is ahead of saturated fat in typical lunch and renders the contrast only in 3% purely.
Added sugar has 16% of consumption among others and demonstrates the same group of usage for saturated fat during breakfast. However, in terms of dinner meals, it reveals the lowest food consumption rate among other types of nutrients and depicts 28% of all. During lunch time the amount of added sugars in typical meals is manifested with a percentage of 19 and still has the lowest indicator among other nutrients.
